Our story began in 1996, when our founder, the late Nihal Hettiarachchi, together with his wife Dr. Sahida (Swarna) Hettiarachchi, established the first manufacturing plant in Sri Lanka’s Coconut Triangle. Today, Serendib Green is a leading global manufacturer of coconut husk-based growing media, serving large-scale growers and manufacturers worldwide.
About Coco Coir:
Coco coir is extracted from the fibrous husk surrounding the coconut shell. Once considered waste, it is now one of the most sustainable growing media available, offering excellent water retention, aeration, and environmental benefits.
